“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

In a world where 62 million children are trapped in child labor across the Asia Pacific Region – representing 7% of all children – action is not just necessary, it’s urgent. Twenty-eight million of these children work in hazardous conditions, primarily in agriculture, mining, brick-making, and domestic work.

Our Response: “Change 2018”

Recognizing this critical situation, Ek Artha Foundation, in collaboration with Success Vidhi and the Uniglobe Center for Social Programs, organized an impactful inter-college video competition focused on raising awareness about child labor and promoting basic education for students.

Empowering Young Minds as Agents of Change

Our “Change 2018” competition was designed to:

🎬 Provide a Creative Platform

Students could express their perspectives on ending child labor through video storytelling

🧠 Foster Critical Skills

Participants developed critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving abilities

💡 Encourage Innovation

Students were challenged to analyze, create, and design plans for social change

🤝 Build Networks

Bringing together students from various institutions and backgrounds

The Competition Structure

We organized panels for both:

  • Collaboration on solutions to pressing social issues
  • Exchange of ideas across institutional boundaries
  • Relationship building that extends beyond the competition
  • Network expansion for future social change initiatives
  • Teamwork toward societal betterment

Creating Lasting Impact

We believe our work provided participants with experiences that serve as deciding factors in transforming thoughts into actual actions. The competition acted as an initiative to:

  • Establish perfect benchmarks for social awareness campaigns
  • Develop sustainable models for youth engagement
  • Create platforms for celebrating togetherness and building friendly relationships
  • Enable collaboration between competent individuals for society’s betterment

The Ripple Effect

Participants left equipped with:
